Here is how to use the Translate App

Step 1

First of all, you need to find out the location of the “Translate” application. To find it, you need to launch “Spotlight” by swiping downwards on your Home screen. Here, enter “translate” in the search bar and select the “Apple Translate” icon from the search results.

Steps to Use the Toolbar Menu

Once you have successfully translated the sentence, you will see a toolbar below the translated results. Using this toolbar, you can make the desired changes in the search result.

  • Press the ‘Favorite’ icon (looking like a star)present below the search result. This will add it to your ‘Favorites’ list.
  • Press the ‘Dictionary’ icon (looking like a book) to turn on the Dictionary mode. Further, you can tap on each word to get its meaning.
  • You can also get its definition by tapping on the word.
  • Press the ‘Play’ button (looking like a triangle) to hear the translated result.

This option helps when you want someone else to listen to what you are trying to speak. This lets him know what your intentions are and what you are asking for. This comes in handy when you need to buy something in a different country and want the local resident to know of your intentions.
